What you practice grows stronger:

a 5-week course

2019-07-01 07.55.21.jpg
Would you like to take in the good moments in life and  practice gratitude and joy in order to increase well-Being?

Don’t miss out on the good moments in life - like flowers, nature, a smile, a warm bed, the sun, sunset or sunrise etc.

Neuroscientists have found that the brain is plastic and changeable, so by practicing to take in the good moments in life repeatedly, we can all in all be better at focusing on positive experiences in life.

We are wired up to take in the negative experiences - what scientists call a negativity-bias. Rick Hanson, neuroscientist and phychologist at UC Berkeley, says “The brain is like velcro for negative experiences, but teflon for positive ones”. So by training the brain to take in the good experiences (even very tiny ones) we can increase our overall well-being.

During this course the overall theme will be "What You Practice Grows Stronger", so if you practice worry you will worry more. If you practice joy and gratitude, you will become more joyful and grateful.

“Gratitude is like a flashlight. It lights up what is already there. You don’t necessarily have anything more or different, but suddenly you can actually see what is. And because you can see, you no longer take it for granted”❤️~ M.J. Ryan
